Why Do I Need a Carbon Monoxide Detector?
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a dangerous gas that can’t be seen, smelled, or tasted, making it impossible to detect without the proper equipment. This silent threat can come from everyday household appliances like gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, or fireplaces if they malfunction or aren’t properly ventilated. Even tiny amounts of CO exposure can lead to serious health issues, including dizziness, headaches, and confusion, and in severe cases, it could be life-threatening.
A carbon monoxide detector serves as your family’s early warning system. By identifying and alerting you to unsafe levels of CO in your home, these essential devices give you time to act before it’s too late. Without one, you may not realize there’s a problem until symptoms develop, and by then, the danger could have escalated.

"We have used ALL Phase for years to maintain our units and appreciate their great service and integrity."
The All-Phase crew showed up as scheduled and handled the removal of our old HVAC unit and installation of the new unit efficiently. They completed the job easily within one day. The crew was respectful of our home and took time to cover and protect our stairs and floors. Everything was cleaned up nicely before they left. Additionally, the office staff were very helpful.

"I'll certainly call upon them again whenever there's a problem in the future"
I had problem with my cooling system which was caused by the negligent work of the previous company that I had hired. Apparently, system malpractice is not rare nowadays. All-Phase sent over Evan to rescue us from our air conditioning meltdown. He was a young fellow, but sharp as a tack. He had an aire of professionalism and respectfulness which has become uncommon, as if he had stepped out of the 1950s. The reason I picked the company was because the website made it appear as if were operated by a good family. They looked trustworthy. I wasn't disappointed in my decision. My expectations were exceeded. There was basically a thicket that had grown up around the outside unit, so he had to fight his way through it, in order to get the job done. There was not one complaint. He did the job fast and well, while maintaining a positive attitude the whole time. Even the dog liked him, and "killer" doesn't like anybody. When everything was finally completed, I was pleasantly surprised by the charge. It doesn't seem proper to site numbers, but it was very reasonable, and considerably less than what I was accustomed to. I'll certainly call upon them again whenever there's a problem in the future.

Are Carbon Monoxide & Smoke Detectors Expensive?
Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are essential safety devices that are surprisingly affordable.
Basic models often start at just a few dollars, while more advanced options with additional features are still reasonably priced. Considering the protection they provide for your family and home, these devices are a worthwhile investment.
For residents in North Carolina, there are programs that make it even easier to obtain these life-saving tools. For example, the Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Greensboro Fire Department offer free carbon monoxide and smoke detector installation programs for eligible residents. These programs are designed to equip every home with working detectors, especially if your current devices are outdated or non-operational.
